Many thanks to Ben Williams and Lloyd Turnbull for their service on commiittee over the years.

Dave Picton was nomited to the position of trustee. He will remain in the position of Commadore until he can find a member of commiitte who is willing to take up this position.

If you woudl like to join the commiittee please make yourself known by comming to any commiittee meeting on the second Tuesday of the month in the clubhouse at 7:30pm.  Also not that any member can attend a commiittee meeting if they want to see what goes on at commiittee or wishes to raise a point.  Should you wish to attend please make yourself known to the secreatery prior to the metting you wish to attend so arangements can be made to accomodate your request.  NOTE if there are items of a sensative nature being brought up you may be asked to leave the room whilst the issue is discussed.

Launch and recovery

Please note currently the mud on the beach is extreamly bad.  We have already lost one tractor this year. Keep very close to the rocks on the left hand side of the beach when launching and recovering.  DO NOT venture towards the middle of the beach.

If you do get stuck

PLEASE DISCONNECT YOUR TRAILER FROM THE TRACTOR. WE HAVE FOUND THAT THIS MAKES IT EASIER AND MORE LIKELY TO RESCUE THE TRACTOR (AND THEN YOUR BOAT AND TRAILER)

TRY AND DRIVE THE TRACTOR OUT OF THE MUD.  THE BEST WAY TO DO THIS IS BY TURNING THE WHEELS TOWARDS THE ROCKS RATHER THAN STAIGHT OUT.

IF THIS FAILS CALL SOMEONE FROM COMMIITTEE THEN GET ANOTHER TRACTOR TO ASSIST IN TOWING. DO NOT DRIVE THIS STRIGHT INTO THE MUD AS WELL. THERE IS A CHAIN AT THE CLUBHOUSE THAT CAN BE ATTACHED TO EACH TRACTOR TO ASSIST IN PULLING OUT

ONCE THE TRACTOR IS SAFE ATTACH THE CHAIN TO YOUR TRAILER AND DRAG IT OUT. ENSURE YOU ARE ON HARD SAND BEFORE TRYING.
